Stolen Truck Involved in Crash; Driver Takes Off

DUNBAR, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Police are searching for the driver of a truck that crashed into two utility poles.

It happened just before 4 a.m. Friday at the intersection of 10th Street and Dunbar Avenue.

The truck snapped one utility pole then hit another pole.

Police say the truck was reported stolen from Roxalana Road.

The driver took off running after the crash. Police are still trying to catch up with him.

DUNBAR, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Police say the driver of a pickup truck that crashed into two utility poles took off running.

The truck was traveling south on 10th Street when it crashed into a utility pole.

It happened just before 4 a.m. Friday at the intersection of 10th Street and Dunbar Avenue.

The truck snapped one utility pole then hit another pole.

Police are looking for the driver.

The south bound lanes of 10th Street were closed for several hours from Dunbar Avenue to the Dunbar Bridge.

Drivers in Dunbar who were going to South Charleston were still able to cross the Dunbar Bridge, but traffic was backed up in the area.
