Drug Task Force Arrests Two Pill Pushers

FAYETTE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A drug task force is trying to put a plug in the prescription pill pipeline and arrested two men for trafficking drugs.

Fayette County Sheriff Steve Kessler tells WSAZ.com the Central West Virginia Drug Task Force made several undercover pill purchases in the Ansted area.

A search warrant was executed on Friday. Deputies say pills and $3,000 in cash were recovered in a home.

James Peck II, 36, of Ansted, was arrested and charged with two counts of delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and conspiracy to commit a felony.

Marion Cheney II, 29, of Palm Bay, Fl. Was arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit a felony and transportation of controlled substances into the state of West Virginia.

Deputies say Cheney is a known pill pusher and a more detailed investigation is looking into his dealings.

Both men are behind bars.
