HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Your hunch is right; you’ve seen her before.
Amanda Barren doesn’t just have one of those faces, she’s got talent and experience, that’s why you recognize her instantly.
WSAZ NewsChannel 3 is excited to announce Amanda will be joining Bill Murray as co-anchor of First at 5:00.
Amanda’s returning in this new role, bringing her talent and experience to relate those stories that matter most to you.
“Amanda is an outstanding journalist whose number one priority is to serve the community she loves,” said WSAZ News Director Dan Fabrizio. “She’s a great addition to a great news team. We’re excited to have her back.”
Amanda began her journey at WSAZ in 2006 as a weekend anchor and weekday reporter in Charleston.
Amanda says returning to the WSAZ anchor seat feels like a natural fit.
“Beyond the family that is WSAZ, I have a special place in my heart for the extended family of viewers,” Amanda said. “The people in this region make it special. I can’t wait to start sharing their stories again.”
