Fatal Accident Reported Along Route 119 in Boone

BOONE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- An accident in Boone County has left one person dead and another with serious injuries.

The crash happened just after 9:00 a.m. Friday at the intersection of Route 119 and Camp Creek Road near the Donald R. Kuhn Juvenile Detention Center.

Sheriff's Deputies say Elisha F. Moore, 86, Ridgeview, attempting to enter and cross Route 119 into the southbound lane when he pulled into the path of a pickup truck.

Investigators believe the driver of the truck didn't have time to stop before the accident.

Moore was killed in the accident. Mary Eloise Hubbard, 81, of Ridgeview was a passenger in Moore's vehicle. She was flown to CAMC General with serious injuries.

The driver of the truck and his passenger were not hurt.

No charges will be filed in the accident.
