CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Police say a fight downtown ended with an arrest and a pregnant woman in the hospital.
Officers tell WSAZ.com six or seven adults in their 20s began fighting on the sidewalk. It's still unclear what sparked the fight.
Metro 911 says the fight broke out on Capitol Street late Saturday afternoon.
Police say three men and a woman got pepper sprayed during the brawl. Officers say the woman was pregnant and was taken to the hospital.
Dispatchers say one man was arrested and the scene was cleared just before 5 p.m. Saturday.
Police are patrolling and stationing cars in the downtown area during tonight's festivities.
Metro 911 says the fight broke out on Capitol Street late Saturday afternoon. Dispatchers say they received numerous calls of two men fighting near the intersection of Quarrier Street.
Dispatchers say one man was arrested and the scene was cleared just before 5 p.m. Saturday.
Witnesses tell WSAZ.com the man had to be pepper sprayed when he wouldn't cooperate with officers.
