RAVENSWOOD, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- An apartment building has been badly damaged by fire.
It broke out on Harpold Street in Ravenswood about 5 a.m. Saturday.
Firefighters battled the blaze for about three hours. They tell WSAZ.com, four units are considered a total loss.
"I just remember seeing the flames from my bedroom and getting my son out," said Rebekah Nutter who lived in the apartment where the fire started.
She says her 5-year-old son woke her and her fiance up after seeing the fire.
"My fiance got up, went out into the living room, he said the entire couch was engulfed in flames," said Nutter.
Firefighters say one person was treated for some minor cuts and bruises.
There is no word on what started the fire but firefighters say it appears to be accidental.
