Fire Destroys Home in Ripley

The fire was reported at 2 a.m. at a home on North Maple Street near the county courthouse.

JACKSON COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A fire destroyed a home in Jackson County early Friday morning.

The fire was reported at 2 a.m. at a home on North Maple Street in Ripley, near the county courthouse.

Two people were inside the home at the time of the fire, but everyone was able to get out, firefighters say.

The fire was so intense, the heat from the flames damaged the house next door.

No word on what caused the fire.
