FAIRVIEW, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Firefighters are investigating a fire they say was started on purpose.

Flames ripped through a trailer at about 4 p.m. Saturday.

Firefighters say it happened on Coal River Road in Fairview.

Kanawha County Fire Coordinator C.W. Sigman says at first the trailer was thought to be abandoned but later determined someone did live there.

No one was home at the time of the fire.

The fire has been ruled suspicious.

It is still under investigation.
