CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Fire destroyed an abandoned house on Charleston's West Side, early Thursday morning.
It broke out about 5:00 a.m. at a one story duplex on Hunt Avenue between 2nd Avenue and Grant Street.
Firefighters tell WSAZ.com, no one lived at the house.
It was boarded up and had no electricity hooked up.
Investigators are now trying to figure out where and what started the fire.
They are saying it looks suspicious.
A Metro 911 dispatcher told WSAZ.com they received the call at 4:48 a.m.
The dispatcher said no one lived at the one-story structure in the 1200-block of Grant Street.
Firefighters worked quickly to put out the fire.
The state fire marshal will investigate the cause of the fire.
