HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Five people are facing charges after a burglary at a home in Huntington.
Huntington Police say they got a tip about 9:40 Wednesday morning about a possible burglary at a home in the 1100 block of Jefferson Avenue.
When police got on scene, they say the suspects tried to run. "Generally people who are in a location legitimately don't take off when police get there, or don't try to," Sgt. Darrell Booth with Huntington Police says.
Five people were taken into custody in connection with the burglary.
They were all arraigned on burglary charges Wednesday afternoon.
Charles Michael London, 22, of Huntington, is charged with two counts of burglary. According to the criminal complaint, London got into the home through a window and unlocked the door to let the others inside.
Police say when they got on scene, London jumped out a second story window and tried to take off. He was caught by a K9 unit.
Brittany Ann Hale, 24, of St. Albans, Mykol Letrell Tarpley, 27, of Detroit, Michigan, Breanna Lenore Leffingwell, 21, of Proctorville, Ohio, and Reginald Walter Dixon, 30, of Oak Park, Michigan, were all arrested and charged with one count of burglary.
Police also say drug paraphernalia and packaging were found in the home.
