KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man who had been a fugitive from justice recently turned himself in to Kanawha County Sheriff's deputies, the department said.
Eden Holt Wolfe, a resident of Kanawha County, was wanted on a Circuit Court bench warrant related to a transferring and receiving charge, as well as an outstanding warrant for brandishing.
Wolfe told authorities on Thursday night that he was tired of running. Deputies met him at Standard Baptist Church. Wolfe was wearing a camouflage top. He was not wearing any other clothing. He had scratches on his face, legs, and arms, saying he had been bitten by a snake after falling into a snake pit.
Wolfe was examined by the medical staff at Charleston Area Medical Center’s General Division prior to being arraigned on the charges. He was then taken to South Central Regional Jail.
He was unable to post bond on the brandishing charge, and will have to be seen by a Circuit Court Judge before a bond is set on the other offense.
