UPDATE: Evacuation at Shopping Plaza in Logan Lifted; No Leak Found

LOGAN, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The evacuation at Fountain Place Shopping Plaza in Logan has been lifted.

Firefighters say Saturday evening, several businesses started reporting a gas smell.

Many of the businesses were evacuated as a precaution.

Firefighters say the gas company was called out to the scene, but no leak was found.

They say they believe the odor came from a drip gas truck that stopped at the shopping center.

People were allowed back into the buildings just before 7:00 p.m.

LOGAN, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Some businesses at the Fountain Place Shopping Plaza are being evacuated. This includes Wal Mart, KFC and Bob Evans.

911 dispatchers say firefighters are responding to a gas leak in the area.

The leak is thought to be an outside line.

No injuries have been reported.
