UPDATE: Pets Die in St. Albans House Fire

UPDATE @ 2:30 p.m.
ST. ALBANS, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Three dogs and three cats died in a house fire in St. Albans Friday.

The fire broke out about 12:30 p.m. on Cleveland Avenue.

Fire investigators tell WSAZ.com the fire started on the first floor and spread to the second.

The person who lived there was able to get out.

here is no word on how the fire started.

ST.ALBANS, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Emergency crews are on the scene of a house fire on Cleveland Avenue in St. Albans.

It broke out about 12:30 p.m. Friday.

Smoke was pouring from the home when firefighters arrived.

Dispatchers tell WSAZ.com, Walnut Street is closed in the area because of the situation.

No one was hurt.
