HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Some of the tri-state's best and brightest musicians tuned up for a Marshall University tradition this weekend.

MU's high school band festival is taking over campus.

More than 400 students representing 63 schools from West Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky are attending.

Students are getting the opportunity to learn from Marshall's music faculty members throughout the weekend.

Instructors say about 90 percent of Marshall's current music students attended the festival when they were in high school.
