UPDATE: Missing Man Contacts Family, Reports He is Safe

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A 22-year-old who had been missing for a week has contacted his family.

Huntington Police say that Kyle Copson, of Cross Lanes, has called his family and to tell them he is safe.

He was reported missing after walking away from Cabell Huntington Hospital last Friday.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A 22-year-old man reported missing may be a danger to himself, according to Huntington Police and family members.

Kyle Andrew Copson of Cross Lanes was last seen last Friday morning when he walked away from Cabell Huntington Hospital.

Police say Mr. Copson has some health issues which require medication on a day-to-day basis. His family believes he may try to harm himself if he is off his medicine for an extended period of time.

On Wednesday he may have been spotted in Beauty Ky.

Copson was last seen wearing gray sports shorts, white t-shirt and black Nike tennis shoes. He is 6’2” and weighs 195 pounds.
