HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Huntington Police are looking for help locating a man involved in a home invasion this past Saturday.

The incident happened at a residence in the 1100-block of 9th Avenue.

Police say after entering the apartment, Timothy Allen McComas held a knife against the neck of the woman who lived there, who was his ex-mother-in-law, and demanded money and medications.

The woman’s husband then gave McComas drugs and cash. Police say McComas did get away.

According to the criminal complaint, the couple was too afraid to call police right away because McComas told them if they did so, he'd come back and kill them.

The couple says the next day they felt like they had no other choice than to call police, because the victim's husband had to be taken to the hospital. He has cancer, and not having his medication was causing him to have extreme pain.

Detectives say McComas is homeless and has a lengthy criminal history. They say he should be considered armed and dangerous. McComas is 5’7” and weighs about 220 pounds.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts should call the Huntington Police Department tip line at 304-696-4444 or notify 911.
