SOUTH POINT, Ohio (WSAZ) -- A large tree fell Tuesday afternoon on a woman’s mobile home along County Road 15 in South Point, and the victim says she feels lucky to be alive.
One look at her home tells the tale.
About 4 p.m. Tuesday, Gladys Sloan and two of her grandchildren were watching TV in the living room when a huge tree from the woods behind her home uprooted and slammed into her bedroom.
Ironically, this is the second time a tree has fallen on Sloan's home, but the damage this time was much more severe.
For now, Sloan is staying with her sister. She says she will meet with the Red Cross on Thursday.
