UPDATE: Two Arrested after Teenager Shot and Killed in Charleston

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Two arrests have been made after a deadly shooting on Charleston's west side.

It happened about 11:15 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of 6th Street and Park Avenue.

Charleston Police have arrested Mark Gaddy and charged him with murder in connection with the shooting.

A juvenile has also been arrested and charged with murder in the case.

Police tell WSAZ.com, Tymel McKinney, 18, is the victim.

A witness, Deon Henning, tells WSAZ.com that MicKinney was shot in the face.

Henning says McKinney and another witness were sitting on the couch when two suspects fired 14 shots. "We just ordered some pizza and we were over there for like five minutes. I was walking over to my granny's house. These two dudes just came up and started laying shots off at us."

McKinney's family tells us he was working toward getting his GED.

He leaves behind a four month old baby girl.

His family was his top priority. Henning says, "He was a good dude man, he really was. He didn't really bother nobody. He was just another person in the hood, trying to make it, trying to make a living."

Gaddy was arraigned in Kanawha County Magistrate Court. He refused to sign any paperwork and says he didn't do anything wrong.

It happened about 11:15 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of 6th Street and Park Avenue.

Charleston Police tell WSAZ.com, Tymel McKinney, 18, is the victim.

Henning says the suspects were were dressed in black, and had their faces covered with bandanas.

The Charleston Police Department is holding a news conference at 10:30 a.m. to update the case.

It happened about 11:15 p.m. near the intersection of 6th Street and Park Avenue.

Charleston Police have not confirmed the person shot has died.

A witness, Deon Henning, tells WSAZ.com the v and that he was shot in the face. Henning says he, the victim, and another witness were sitting on the couch when two suspects came into the house and fired 14 shots.

Henning says the suspects were were dressed in black, and had their faces covered with bandanas.

Police say a vehicle related to the shooting was located at CAMC General Hospital in Charleston.

Police have not confirmed the name of the victim.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Police are investigating a shooting late Wednesday night on the city's west side.

Dispatchers say it happened about 11:15 p.m. near the intersection of 6th Street and Park Avenue.

Police confirmed to WSAZ that one person was shot. They are not releasing the condition of the victim.

Family members of the victim say he is 18.

A vehicle related to the shooting was located at CAMC General Hospital in Charleston.

Investigators confirm that more than a dozen shell casings were found in the area.
