Man Accused of Scalding Woman With Water

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) – A man is facing charges of malicious wounding after police say he thew a pot of boiling water on a woman.

It happened Friday night in Charleston.

Officers say Wade Chester threw the scalding water at a woman’s chest. She suffered severe burns and was taken to the hospital.

There is no word yet on what led to the incident.

Chester is being held in the South-Central Regional Jail on a $10,000 bond.
