Man Accused of Sexual Assault of 10-Year-Old-Boy

BOONE COUNTY, W.Va.(WSAZ) -- A Boone County man is behind bars, charged with sodomizing a little boy.

According to Boone County Sheriff's Deputies Johnny "JJ" Colvin Jr., is accused of first degree sexual assault in connection to an incident that deputies say happened somewhere between 2010-2012.

The boy, who is now ten, was somewhere between the age of five and seven when the incident happened in the Greenview area of Boone County.

Colvin, 27, of Danville told deputies he was intoxicated when the incident happened and he does not know why he did it.

The incident came to light this week when the little boy told his mother. She reported it to members of the Boone County Sheriff's Department.
A member of the Child Abuse and Sex Crimes division investigated the case.

Deputies in Boone County call what happened to the little boy "very serious and hard to fathom."

In a news release from the Boone County Sheriff's Department Sheriff Randall White said, "This is exactly the type of crime we have investigators in place to deal with. It is a very disturbing act and we are glad to get a monster like this off the street. The allegations are specific, and were confirmed by the confession of Mr. Colvin."
