Man Attempting to Use Forged Prescription Arrested

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man recently was arrested after a forged prescription was used at Family Pharmacy in Cross Lanes, Kanawha County Sheriff’s deputies say.

John Elkins tried to use the forged prescription to get 30 pain pills Monday night. Employees at the pharmacy called for law enforcement, and Elkins was arrested shortly afterward.

Deputies are still trying to determine where Elkins obtained the prescription form.
