BOYD COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) -- A man is facing charges after deputies say he was caught in a drug buy, then hit a deputy with his car door.
Sgt. Rob Donta with the Boyd County Sheriff's Office says the office set up a controlled buy with Dennis Rigsby, Jr., 33, of Catlettsburg on Wednesday.
Donta says Rigsby was meeting with an informant to sell heroin in the bathroom of a fast food restaurant.
Donta says when Rigsby came out of the restaurant and got into a car, Donta knocked on the side window.
That's when Rigsby is accused of driving away, opening the door and hitting Donta with his car door.
According to the criminal complaint, Rigsby stopped after being held at gunpoint by the deputy.
Heroin was found in the car.
Rigsby is charged with trafficking a controlled substance and wanton endangerment on a police officer.
