CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - A man already convicted for three DUI's was arrested again last night after police say he was driving drunk again.
Charleston Police say two officers saw Gary A. Goad, 35, driving the wrong way down the 800 block of Virginia Street.
The officers chased after Goad and tried to get him to stop. Charleston Police say the officers hit the side of the SUV several times to try and get Goad's attention.
Police say Goad continued to drive until an officer in a police cruiser was able to pull him over on Quarrier Street.
Police say when Goad got out of the car he was staggering and smelled of alcohol.
Police say they asked Goad if he had been drinking. Goad replied, "I'm drunk."
Goad failed a field sobriety test and was arrested for DUI. He blew a .267.
According to the criminal complaint, DMV records showed Goad had two active DUI and had three previous convictions for DUI. One was as recent as September 20, 2012.
Goad is charged with driving on a revoked license and third offense DUI.
