UPDATE: Man Shot in Leg in Williamson, Investigation Continues

WILLIAMSON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Williamson Police are still trying to track down a man believed to be involved in a shooting.

The shooting was reported about 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the Williamson Terrace Apartments on Vinson Street.

Chief Barry Blair tells WSAZ.com they got on scene two minutes after the call came in, but no one was there.

Blair says Matthew Parks and another man got into a fight at the apartments and Parks was shot in the leg.

Parks went to Appalachian Regional Hospital to be treated for the gunshot wound. No word on his condition.

Blair says investigators have been in touch with Parks.

Blair tells WSAZ.com they do have a suspect, but at this time, other information about the case is not being released.

WILLIAMSON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Investigators are on scene of a shooting in Williamson, West Virginia.

911 Dispatchers in Mingo County tell WSAZ.com the shooting was reported about 3:30 p.m.

Mingo County Sheriff's Deputies say a man was shot in the leg. It happened on Vinson Street.

Dispatchers say Williamson Police, Mingo County Sheriff's Deputies and West Virginia State Police are on scene.

No other information is being released at this time.
