GALLIPOLIS, Ohio (WSAZ) -- A man is in the hospital after being stabbed with a kitchen knife during a fight.
It happened about 4:30 Monday afternoon at a home in the 700-block of 4th Avenue in Gallipolis.
The Gallipolis Police Department tells WSAZ.com that James Hamilton, 38, of Gallipolis, was stabbed in the chest.
According to a press release, witnesses told police Hamilton and another person got into a fight and Hamilton was stabbed.
He was taken to Holzer Medical Center, then flown to Grant Medical Center in Columbus. Police say he is in good condition, but unable to speak at the time due to treatment he is undergoing.
Police say a person of interest was questioned, but at this time, no one has been charged.

Investigators say it happened about 4:30 p.m. Monday at a house in the 700 block of 4th Avenue in Gallipolis.
The victim was transported to a hospital in Columbus. Neither his name nor his condition have been released.
