UPDATE: Man Arrested and Charged in Greenup Stabbing

GREENUP, Ky. (WSAZ) -- A man from Greenup has been arrested in connection with a stabbing Tuesday night.

The stabbing was reported just after 11 p.m. in the 16000 block of Route 7 in Greenup County.

The Greenup County Sheriff says Timothy Grizzle, 41, was found lying in the middle of the road and bleeding profusely. They also say he was semi unconscious and not able to speak due to multiple stab wounds.

We’re told he was flown to the hospital with possible life-threatening injuries. He is in fair condition at St. Mary's Medical Center.

Deputies arrested Kenton Imel, 29, of Greenup, and charged him with 1st degree assault. Imel is being held in the Greenup County Detention Center.

There is no word on a motive for the stabbing.

GREENUP, Ky. (WSAZ) -- A man was stabbed late Tuesday night along Route 7 in Greenup, Greenup County 911 dispatchers say.

It was reported just after 11 p.m. Tuesday near a grocery store in the area.

The man is being flown to the hospital with possible life-threatening injuries.

No one is in custody at this time.

The Greenup County Sheriff's Department was still on the scene late Tuesday night.
