WAYNE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man was arrested on drug charges during the weekend on U.S. 52 near the intersection of Cedar Run Road, according to a news release from the Wayne County Sheriff's Department.
Christopher Jack Runyon, 23, told officers he has addresses in both Huntington (2600 block of Guyan Avenue) and Lake, W.Va.
Runyon was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and one count of carrying a concealed dangerous weapon. He was taken to the Western Regional Jail, where he remained in custody Monday on a $40,000 bond.
Deputies say they confiscated a plastic baggie during Runyon's arrest Saturday which contained the drug ecstasy. Another plastic baggie with hydrocodone also was recovered.
A .380 semi-automatic handgun was recovered from the glove compartment of the 2005 Mitsubishi Eclipse car driven by Runyon.
