JACKSON COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- More information has been released about an ATV accident on Interstate 77 in Jackson County.
West Virginia State Police say Eddie Evans, Jr. drove his ATV onto the southbound lanes of the interstate about 7:30 p.m. Monday near the Ripley exit. Evans lost control, hit a guardrail and was seriously hurt, according to police.
Evans was flown to the hospital.
Troopers say Evans was driving drunk at the time of the accident. Police say they plan to file DUI charges against him when he is released from the hospital.
The man had to be flown to the hospital after hitting a guardrail. The accident happened about 7:30 p.m. Monday.
