UPDATE 6/21/13 @ 11:20 p.m.
LOGAN COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The name of a man whose body was found Friday night in the Guyandotte River in the Pecks Mill area has been released.
The victim was Richard Lee White, 66, of Logan, according to Logan County Sheriff's deputies.
White's family told deputies he disappeared about 3 p.m. Friday from his home in the Mitchell Heights area and that he reportedly went walking toward the river.
The sheriff's department, the Henlawson Fire Department and LEASA Search and Rescue deployed members to search the Guyandotte River and its banks.
About 8 p.m., they found a body that was later identified to be White's.
County Coroner Mike Casey arrived on scene, and the victim's body was recovered from the river.
Deputies and the County Coroner believe at this time that no foul play was involved.
Deputies say they received a call about a missing man. The man reportedly left his home and walked down by the river.
Additional details, including the man’s name, were not being released Friday night -- mainly because the man’s family was still being notified.
