PAINTSVILLE, Ky. (WSAZ) -- Investigators need your help identifying two women they say were caught on camera stealing meat from at least two grocery stores.

The two women were first seen in the Prestonsburg Food City on July 15.

The most recent theft happened at the Food City in Paintsville Saturday.

Food City alerted local officials, causing the Johnson County Sheriff's office to launch an investigation.

The video apparently shows the pair concealing large quantities of meat and other merchandise in their purses.

“It appears they are well organized,” says Sheriff Dwayne Price.

Price says the surveillance footage from the stores is excellent quality and believes it will help with the investigation.

"We will charge these two individuals if we can find them. They are taking meat products, which can get rather expensive. It is like anything else if Food City loses a lot of product through shoplifting...we all pay for it in the long run," says Price.

Sheriff Price asks anyone with information about these two women to contact his office at (606) 789-3411. He says you can remain anonymous.
