ASHLAND, Ky. (WSAZ) -- A man who was a youth leader at mission in Ashland, Ky. has been arrested and charged with third-degree rape.
Kentucky State Police arrested 28-year-old Nathanael Handloser, of Ashland, on Monday.
Troopers say they received a call on July 22 about possible illegal sexual activity between a 16-year-old female and Handloser, who was an employee at the Hillcrest-Bruce Mission in Ashland.
Mission spokesperson Randy Loschert tells WSAZ.com that Handloser is no longer an employee with the organization. He had been with mission for about two years at the time of the allegations.
Handloser is being held in the Boyd County Detention Center.
Hillcrest-Bruce Mission serves the Pollard Community of Ashland.
