FAYETTE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) --The southbound lanes of the West Virginia Turnpike are expected to re-open about 9:15 p.m. Monday after an accident involving a tractor-trailer and multiple other vehicles, a West Virginia Parkways spokesperson said.

Despite the serious-looking nature of the crash, only one person suffered minor injuries. That person was not taken to the hospital.

The crash was reported about 7:25 p.m. Monday near mile-marker 64 ½. That is near the Kanawha-Fayette county line.

The northbound lanes were not shut down, but traffic was moving slowly on that side because of motorists slowing down to see what was going on.
