CLENDENIN, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- There will be a new mayor in Clendenin, but a tie for the fifth council spot means everything is not yet settled.
Gary Bledsoe won the mayoral election with an even 100 votes. Robert Evans was second with 83, while incumbent Bob Ore received 58 votes.
David Ross defeated Cindy Deel, 127-105 in the race for recorder.
The city council seats are not yet decided.
Mike Stout received 165 votes. Kenny Payne had 141, while Ron Deel had 140 votes. John Shelton received 132 votes. However, there is a tie for the fifth and final council seat. Sid Oliver and William Ore each received 119 votes.
There are nine mail-in ballots the city still has to check that could settle the election.
Voters in Clendenin voted against four-year mayoral terms, by a 148-77 margin.
Voter canvassing will take place next week, and certification of the election is set for June 21. Newly elected officials take office July 1.

WAYNE, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Mick Sanders has won the Wayne mayoral race and will maintain the office.
Sanders was appointed mayor in 2012 after then-mayor Dwayne Stiltner resigned. Sanders defeated former mayor James Ramey, Jr. III and Gary Cooper. Sanders received 323 votes, while Ramey had 151 and Cooper received 3.
In the city council race, Danny Grace, Jon Reed, Harry Sowards, Scott Robertson and Rosie Whipkey were all winners. Grace received 256 votes, Reed 249, Sowards 225, Robertson 202 and Whipkey 197. They defeated Gary Akers, Terry Ramey, H. R. Irwin and Tony Pack. Akers finished with 185 votes, Ramey with 149, Irwin 105 and Pack 99.
Toney Atkins was the winner in the town recorder race. He defeated Scott Followay by a final tally of 313-166.
Kevin Bradshaw won the police judge position, running unopposed.
The results of the Wayne election will be certified next week.

WAYNE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Rose Devaney will remain mayor of Fort Gay after winning election Tuesday.
According to the Fort Gay town recorder, Devaney received 106 votes while challenger Jim Daniels received 39 votes. Devaney was appointed mayor in 2011 after then-mayor David Thompson resigned.
In a three-way race for Fort Gay police judge, Larry Britt won with 83 votes. David W. Thompson received 39 votes while David Thompson received 24.
And in the vote for the Fort Gay city council, the top five vote-earners earning seats were Lee Kitts with 105, Joetta Hatfield with 94, Matt Shipley with 88, James R. Frasher with 82, and Gary Mounts with 70. Also receiving votes were Rhonda Sturgill with 63 and Mike Gilkerson with 60.

MINGO COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Johnny O. Linville was elected mayor of the town of Kermit, according to unofficial returns.
Linville won election over challenger Tim Crum.
The top five vote-getters in the town council race were Charles B. Sparks, Tommy Preece, Anna Mae Sartin Wellman, Peggy L. Moore and Tammy Preece Hodge.
Pauley has been mayor of Marmet for 30 years.
In the community of Pratt, voters overwhelmingly decided to sell the town's dilapidated water system to West Virginia American Water. It passed 153 to 7. The plan now goes to the Public Service Commission for approval.
In the recorder race, Deann Russell was elected.
The top five vote-getters in the town council race were Marty Yeager, Bob Wing, Shelly Mayes Allensworth, Ralph Ross and Emily Henry.
In the Town of Wayne, residents are going to polls Tuesday to elect a Mayor, Recorder, and Council members.
Residents in another Wayne County community, Fort Gay, are also electing a Mayor, Recorder and Council Members.
Some other communities having contested municipal elections include, Mason, Burnsville, Danville, Marmet, Clendenin and Pratt.
In Pratt, voters will decide whether or not to sell the town's dilapidated water system. West Virginia American Water plans to buy the system for more than $430,000, but voters have to approve the deal.
Two-term Clendenin Mayor Bob Ore faces two challengers. Former Clendenin Councilman Gary Bledsoe and former Recorder Robert Evans are also running for the top job.
Meanwhile, in Marmet Bill Pauley has been the mayor for 30 years and he's also facing challengers in Tuesday's election. Councilman Robert Wells and Councilwoman Ruth Meadows are running against Pauley.
Polls in West Virginia close at 7:30 p.m.
