Ohio Attorney General Visits Ironton to Talk School Safety

IRONTON, Ohio (WSAZ) -- Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine made a stop at Ironton High School on Tuesday to meet with school, city and county officials about school safety.

DeWine said Ironton has one of the state's top safety programs and hopes to learn from its model.

The group discussed the many training programs that faculty and staff have been a part of and other they hope to use in the future.

One of those programs is called A.L.I.C.E. It shows teachers and students not only how to respond to a crisis -- but how to counteract an intruder, if necessary.
