The accident happened on U.S. 23 at the intersection of River Bend Road just before 6 a.m. Tuesday
Louisa Police say that Paul Shane Hackney, 30, of Louisa, was driving the car that slammed into the rear of the truck. Police say Hackney was on the way to work when the crash happened.
Hackney had to be freed from his car before being flown to a Huntington hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the truck was no hurt.
Dispatchers tell WSAZ.com the accident involved a logging truck and car.
The crash happened in the northbound lanes right before 6 a.m. Tuesday morning.
No word on the condition of the person injured, or how the accident happened.
U.S. 23 is open in the area of the crash.
