LOGAN COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- One person is dead after crashing into a creek.

Logan County Sheriff W.E. Hunter says his office was dispatched to a crash on Crawley Creek, County Road 3, near Pitt Branch Road around 1:15 p.m. Thursday.

When deputies arrived on the scene, they found a 1991 Buick on it's top in a creek.

Douglas Kinder, 55, of Main Smokehouse Road was found in the car. He did not survive the crash.

Deputies say Kinder lost control of his car, crossed the centerline, then ran off the roadway and landed in the creek.
