Women Escape Fire that Destroys Their Home

SOUTH SHORE, Ky. (WSAZ) -- Two women were able to escape a fire that destroyed their home near South Shore, Ky. Tuesday morning.

The house was in the 1500-block of Sheep Hollow Road. The fire was reported about 6:30 a.m.

Captain Kevin Stith with Maloneton Volunteer Fire Department says firefighters found heavy smoke and fire coming from the house when they got on the scene.

Stith does not know the fire started, but says the home is a total loss.

No on was injured in the fire.

The South Shore Volunteer Fire Department assisted in fighting the fire.
