NEW INFO: Man Shot During Home Break-In, Name Released

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va (WSAZ) -- We now know the name of a man who was shot at a home in Kanawha County.

West Virginia State Police tell WSAZ.com, Roy Roe Junior is the man who was shot during a break-in, Wednesday night on Lens Creek Road in Hernshaw.

State Police say Roe told them, three men broke into his home and that one of those men shot him in the head.

He's expected to be okay.

So far no arrests have been made.

ORIGINAL STORY 11/13/13 @ 10:30 p.m.
KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man was shot Wednesday night at a home in the 5300 block of Lens Creek Road in the Hernshaw area, Metro 911 dispatchers say.

The shooting was reported about 10:30 p.m. The man told Kanawha County Sheriff's deputies he was shot during a robbery.

One shot was fired, hitting the victim in the head. The bullet then traveled into the man's shoulder and lodged in his chest.

Despite that, deputies say the man's injuries do not appear to be life threatening.

The victim said three masked men entered his home. He did not have a description or a description of a possible vehicle.
