CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A stabbing reported in Charleston early Friday morning turned out to be an accident.
Charleston Police say a woman walked into the emergency room at Thomas Memorial Hospital at about 5-30 a.m. with a stab wound.
The woman told police it was an accident - and said it happened on the city's west side.
Police say she has a cut on her ankle.
Dispatchers say a person who had been stabbed walked into the emergency room at Thomas Memorial Hospital about 5:30 a.m. Friday. No further details have been released about the victim, but dispatchers tell WSAZ.com that the stabbing happened in Charleston.
