Police Catch Man Trying to Break into Home; Arrest Made

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man is back in jail Saturday morning after he was caught trying to break into a home late Friday night.

Charleston Police arrested Ryan John Fondrliak, 30, and charged him with attempted nighttime burglary and possession of a controlled substance.

Police responded to a call at a home in the 4900 block of MacCorkle Avenue where they found Frondrliak in a backyard.

Police say he admitted to trying to break into the home to get money.

Fondrliak also had four oxycodone pills on him at the time of the arrest.

Police say Fondrliak told them he had just been released from home confinement the day before, but was still on probation in connection with another burglary.

Fondrliak is in the South Central Regional Jail and will be arraigned later Saturday morning.
