UPDATE: Armed Robbery Suspects Indicted on Charges

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Three men that police say were involved in an armed robbery in Huntington have been indicted by a Cabell County Grand Jury.

Julian Johnson, 25, of Huntington, Antonio Lockhart, 22, of Inkster, Michigan, and Monroe Avant, 22, of Huntington, were all indicted on eight counts of first-degree robbery.

The charges stem from an incident back in January.

According to police, five men, parked in a car behind a business on 20th Street, said they were approached by two armed men. The victims told police the men took their cell phones and several other belongings. Two of the victims suffered minor injuries.

A phone tracking application on one of the victims cell phone helped police track down the robbers.

Johnson, Lockhart and Avant were arrested at a bar in the 2000-block of 10th Avenue. Police say they found the victims' property along with the weapons they believe were used during the robbery. Police say they also found stolen items in connection with the armed robbery of three Marshall students in the 2000-block of Buffington Avenue which also happened back in January.

All three men are currently being held in the Western Regional Jail. Johnson, Lockhart and Avant should be back in court in the next week to be arraigned on the charges.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Three men were arrested and charged with and armed robbery in Huntington Saturday night.

Huntington Police charged Julian Johnson, 25, of Huntington, Antonio Lockhart, 22, of Inkster, Michigan, and Monroe Avant, 22, of Huntington, with armed robbery.

Officers were called to 20th Street and 6th Avenue about 9 p.m. Saturday concerning an armed robbery behind a pizza carryout.

Police say five men, parked in a car, said they were approached by two armed men. The victims told police the men took their cell phones and several other belongings. Two of the victims suffered minor injuries but did not require medical treatment.

A phone tracking application on one of the victims cell phone helped police track down the robbers. All three suspects were arrested at a bar in the 2000-block of 10th Avenue. Police say they found the victims' property along with the weapons used during the robbery.

Police say they also found stolen items in connection with the armed robbery of three Marshall students in the 2000-block of Buffington Avenue Friday night. Two of the suspects are expected to be charged in that robbery.

Johnson, Lockhart and Avant are now in the Western Regional Jail.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Huntington Police are searching for two suspects accused of robbery a person in a Marshall University student parking lot.

Police say the were called to the scene at about 9 p.m. Saturday.

911 dispatchers tell WSAZ.com two armed men approached the victim while he was getting into his car.

The parking lot is behind Dominos Pizza on 20th Street.

Police are now with the victim searching the area for clues and the suspects.
