Portsmouth Man Charged with Robbing Businesses

PORTSMOUTH, Ohio (WSAZ) -- Police say they have arrested the man responsible for robbing two businesses in Portsmouth since last week.

Marlin Yates II, also known as Randall Yates, 26, of Portsmouth, has been charged with two counts of aggravated robbery, according to Portsmouth Police.

Detectives say Yates robbed the 1st Stop Market in Sciotoville on Sunday, and the Sherwin-Williams Paint Store on Saturday.

Yates was arrested in Greenup County, Ky. on Wednesday.

He is being held in the Greenup County Detention Center on a fugitive from justice warrant
