CINCINNATI, Ohio (WSAZ) -- A Portsmouth woman is one of six people indicted by a federal court grand jury for conspiring to transport heroin from Cincinnati to Portsmouth.
The U.S. Attorney says Peggy Chaffin, aka “Peggy Shubert,” 33, Portsmouth is charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute heroin, distribution of more than 100 grams of heroin, and operating a drug premise.
The other five people indicted are all from Cincinnati. They are:
* Shakira A. Walker, aka “Magic”, 22
* Antonio Spikes, aka “T.O.”, 23
* Desmond Jenkins, aka “Sonny”, 25
* Rakeem Blair, aka “Skeems”, 20
* Michael Crawford, aka “Bags”
Each faces the same charges as Chaffin.
Task force members arrested five of the defendants in Portsmouth on December 3 and 4. Rakeem Blair remains a fugitive.
The five people in custody appeared before a federal magistrate judge in Cincinnati on December 5. Chaffin, Walker, Spikes and Crawford were ordered held without bond pending trial. Jenkins was placed on electronic monitoring.
