Portsmouth Man Arrested on Drug Charges

PORTSMOUTH, Ohio (WSAZ) -- A Portsmouth man was arrested during the weekend on drug charges, according to an Ohio State Highway Patrol news release.

Joe T. Blanton, 34, was charged with two counts of drug possession.

Troopers found 14 baggies containing 1.5 grams of heroin and another baggie with 3 grams of meth. That happened about 6:30 p.m. Sunday after Blanton was pulled over for not using a turn signal.

He was taken to the Scioto County Jail.
