UPDATE: Missing Python Found Under Trailer

ATHENS, Ohio (WSAZ) -- A python that was let loose over the weekend has been found.

Athens County Sheriff Pat Kelly says the 4 1/2 foot python was released by its owner Sunday at the Sand Stone Terrace Trailer Park off State Route 691.

Kelly says the python was found in the insulation under the owner's trailer.

The owner told a deputy she could no longer feed it, and did not want a hungry python in her house.

Sheriff Kellly says she also hoped to run over it with a mower later.

ATHENS, Ohio (WSAZ) – Residents of an Athens mobile home park are being warned about 4 ½-foot Python that was released outside by a tenant.

Sheriff Pat Kelly says the snake was released at the Sand Stone Terrace Trailer Park off State Route 691 Sunday.

The owner told a deputy she could no longer feed it, and did not want a hungry python in her house.

Sheriff Kellly says she also hoped to run over it with a mower later.

Kelly says the owner of the park has been notified, along with ODNR and individuals with knowledge of snakes.
