UPDATE: Fire Destroys Restaurant in Calhoun

UPDATE 10/11/13 @ 8:40 a.m.
CALHOUN COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- An early morning fire destroyed a restaurant in Calhoun County.

The fire was reported about 6 a.m. Friday at Momma-T's store and restaurant along Route 16 north, just right outside Grantsville.

A spokesperson at the Calhoun County Courthouse tells WSAZ.com the fire destroyed the building. While firefighters were on scene, the roof of the building collapsed.

911 Dispatchers say no one was hurt.

Momma-T's is one of only three restaurants in Grantsville. Many people went to Momma-T's after church on Sundays, according to people who live in Grantsville.

No word on what started the fire.

As of 8:55 a.m., firefighters remain on scene. Route 16 is closed in the area of the restaurant.

The fire was reported about 6 a.m. Friday at Momma-T's store and restaurant along Route 16 north, just right outside Grantsville.

911 Dispatchers tell WSAZ.com no injuries have been reported, but as of 8 a.m. firefighters are still on the scene of the fire.

Right now, Route 16 is closed in the area.
