ROANE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A doctor in Roane County is no longer on the job after he was arrested and charged with several charges.
According to a criminal complaint, Dr. Kenneth Seen, 52, of Spencer, accused one of his patients at Roane General Hospital of biting a portion of his tongue off.
The patient was being treated at the hospital for demensia and Parkinson's disease.
After several days of investigating, West Virginia State Police found things weren't adding up.
Troopers obtained search warrants and found Dr. Seen's account of the incident wasn't consistent and there was no way the patient was able to do what Seen alleged, according to the complaint.
According to the complaint, an ER doctor and several nurses reported the patient could not have done it to Seen because he was not physically able to carry out the actions.
Meanwhile, Seen is also charged with child abuse creating risk of injury, battery and assault on unrelated charges.
Seen is also a pastor at Christian Society of Roane County in Spencer.
According to the criminal complaint, Seen took a 14-year-old boy to church on October 7 and then later threw him to the ground and started punching him.
The victim also told police Seen took him to the rear of the building and pushed him into the refrigerator and slapped him across the face.
Since the incident in August, Seen has not been an employee at Roane General Hospital, according to CEO Doug Bentz. He also lost all hospital privileges at that time.
Seen also has a private practice in Spencer, but Thursday there is a note on the door the office is closed.
Seen is still in jail. WSAZ.com requested an interview with Seen, but he declined comment.
