CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Two women are back in West Virginia after being arrested in Florida for allegedly driving the getaway vehicle in a robbery and a shooting last month at a grocery store in Kanawha City.

Telisa McCauley and Alisyn Proctor were arrested in Panama City, Florida in late August. The pair waived extradition and were brought back to West Virginia overnight.

The two women are in the South Central Regional Jail.

They are accused of agreeing to provide the getaway car in exchange for $3,000 each, police say.

McCauley and Proctor, along with three other people, are facing charges in that robbery and shooting in Kanawha County.

A store employee at the Foodland along MacCorkle Avenue was shot in the chest during the robbery. She spent several days in a Charleston hospital before being released and is expected to make a full recovery.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Two women wanted for allegedly driving the getaway vehicle in a robbery and a shooting earlier this month at a grocery store in Kanawha City were arrested Tuesday in Panama City, Florida, Charleston Police say.

Telisa McCauley and Alisyn Proctor were taken into custody by U.S. Marshals. They are accused of agreeing to provide the getaway car in exchange for $3,000 each, police say.

McCauley and Proctor both are expected to be charged with first-degree robbery.

Three other people were arrested last week in Kanawha County.

A store employee at the Foodland along MacCorkle Avenue was shot in the chest during the robbery. She spent several days in a Charleston hospital before being released.

UPDATE 8/20/14 @ 5:30 p.m.
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A fourth person was arrested Wednesday in connection with a robbery and shooting at a grocery store in Kanawha City.

It happened last Thursday night at Foodland along MacCorkle Avenue.

On Wednesday, a juvenile was arrested in the case. Investigators say the teen served as a lookout during the robbery.

John Proctor, III, Ricky Patterson, and another teen were all arrested last week in the case.

Investigators say Proctor and the teen went into the store wearing masks, and asked everyone to get on the floor. Then they started grabbing money from the registers.

Shawna Sampson, an employee, walked in during the robbery. Proctor is accused of shooting her in the chest.

Telisa McCauly and Alisyn Lee Proctor, John Proctor's sister, are still on the run. They are accused of agreeing to provide the getaway car, in exchange for $3,000 each. Police say they were last seen in a white PT Cruiser with a West Virginia license plate number 5XA-753.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Two men and a teenage boy were arrested Friday night in connection with the shooting and robbery Thursday at the Foodland in Kanawha City, and two women are wanted, Charleston Police say.

Ricky Patterson and John Proctor III both face first-degree robbery charges. Proctor also faces a malicious wounding charge.

A teenage boy also was arrested.

Court documents show Proctor and the juvenile went into the store wearing masks and asked everybody to get on the floor. The two then started grabbing money from registers and the safe.

While the two were taking money from the safe, Foodland employee Shawna Sampson walked in and Proctor shot her in the chest, court documents state. The two continued to gather money while Sampson lay on the ground.

Proctor and the juvenile, as well as Telisa McCauley and Alisyn Lee Proctor (John Proctor's sister), fled the scene in a PT Cruiser car and drove to Barboursville, which is in Cabell County.

Two women in the getaway vehicle are wanted on first-degree robbery charges. According to court documents, they each agreed to take $3,000 to act as getaway drivers.

The robbery and shooting happened about 10:40 p.m. Thursday at the Foodland in Kanawha City along MacCorkle Avenue.

Police say Sampson, 44, was shot in the chest. She is in ICU at a Charleston hospital. Her family says she is recovering and able to communicate with them.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Charleston Police have released the name of the clerk who was shot during a robbery at a grocery store in Kanawha City.

Police say Shawna Sampson, 44, was shot in the chest. She is in ICU at a Charleston hospital.

The General Manager at Foodland tells WSAZ.com Shawna is now in stable condition. He asks that people continue to pray for her and her family.

The crime happened about 10:40 p.m. at the Foodland in Kanawha City along MacCorkle Avenue.

During a news conference Friday, police released that both men were armed and wearing masks. They also took money from several places in the store before leaving the building.

Police say surveillance video captured the entire incident. The video shows one of the suspects jumped over the counter and shot Sampson in the chest, according to investigators. Two shots were fired, but only one bullet hit the victim.

Eight to ten people were inside the store at the time, including customers.

Police are following up on tips from the public to find the two suspected robbers.

Charleston Police have released a picture of one of the suspects. If you recognize the man in the picture or have information on the whereabouts of the two men, call 911.

"On behalf of my family, and our extended Foodland family, our thoughts and prayers are with Shawna, who was the victim of a senseless act, as well as her family and friends. The safety of our employees is of the utmost importance to us, and we are fully cooperating with the authorities," Rick Joseph, store owner of Kanawha City Foodland said.

Foodland in Kanawha City is normally opened 24 hours, but the store was closed overnight, following the shooting. The store reopened at 7:30 a.m. Friday.

"It's troubling to think that somebody has to think they can harm somebody over a few dollars. It shouldn't be like that," Randy Spurlock, Kanawha City resident, said. "Like I said before, it just makes you more aware. You have to be more aware of what's around you, the people around you."

Shawn has worked for Foodland for seven years, but she just transferred to the Kanawha City location about a year ago, according to the general manager.

Charleston Police say the two men had their faces covered when they entered the store with a gun. Police say during the robbery, one of the men shot one of the store's clerks.

Charleston Police say around eight to ten people were inside the store at the time.

Police are following up on tips from the public to find the two suspected robbers. Charleston Police also released a picture of one of the men involved in the robbery. If you recognize the man in the picture or have information on the whereabouts of the two men, call 911.

Foodland is normally opened 24 hours, but the store was closed overnight. However, there is a sign on the door that says it will reopen at 7:30 a.m. Friday.

It happened about 10:40 p.m. at the Foodland along MacCorkle Avenue.

Charleston Police say the two men had their faces covered when they entered the store with a gun. Police say during the robbery one of the men shot one of the store's clerks. That woman is in serious condition at CAMC General, according to police.

Right now, police have K-9 units in the area searching for the suspects. Police are asking people who live in the area to stay inside because the men are considered armed and dangerous.

Investigators are also still at the store interviewing witnesses.

It happened about 10:40 p.m. at the Foodland along MacCorkle Avenue.

Charleston Police say the two men had their faces covered when they entered the store with the gun.

A witness at the scene tells WSAZ.com the men shot a woman during the robbery.

Police say the woman was taken to the hospital. There is no word on her condition.

The men went out of the back of the building. Charleston Police are searching the area for the men. So far they haven't made any arrests.

No other details are being released at this time.

It happened about 10:40 p.m. at the Foodland.

Metro 911 reports the 5000-5600 block of MacCorkle Avenue is closed as police investigate.

No other information is being released at this time.
