UPDATE: Herbert Hoover Student Dies Following Crash

CLENDENIN, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A teenager has died following a crash that happened along Reamer Road in Clendenin on Monday.

Herbert Hoover High School Vice-Principal Jason Cantrell says Toni "Leeann" Spencer was a junior at the school.

The car she was in rolled over into a creek dropping about 30 feet.

Spencer died from her injuries.

Cantrell says that students are able to talk to school counselors to help them get through the tragedy.

Spencer's visitation is scheduled for Friday night from 6 to 8 p.m. at Matics Funeral Home.

Her funeral is set for Saturday.

CLENDENIN, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Three people were hurt in a rollover crash Monday evening near the intersection of Reamer Road and Terrywood Lane, Metro 911 dispatchers say.

The vehicle left the roadway and went about 30 to 40 feet into a creek. One person was flown to the hospital by helicopter, and two others were hurt. The victims' conditions are unknown at this time.

Just the one vehicle was involved.

The crash was reported about 7:10 p.m. Monday, and crews remained at the scene well after 8 p.m.
