Preparing for a Wintry Commute

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) – Cabell County EMS crews are ready for what's expected to be a hectic morning commute Tuesday.

The forecast is calling for 1 to 3 inches of snow while most people would be driving to work or school.

Steve Rutherford is the Support Service Coordinator for Cabell County EMS. He says they have extra crews on hand to respond to calls.

“We should have plenty personnel to handle anything that comes our way,” Rutherford said. “We’ll expect mass chaos.”

He says how busy of a morning they have depends on how many people heed their advice.

"It's going to make things very chaotic,” Rutherford said. “We urge people to slow down, use caution, use common sense, drive safely, and give themselves plenty time to travel."
